Thankful? You betcha!

we had a MARVELOUS thanksgiving at our house. after attending a big family shindig on turkey day, we waited a couple more days as the turkey continued thawing and had our very own on the saturday after thanksgiving. i had to work all day, so i baked the pumpkin pie and prepped the bird the night before and left detailed notes for wes to put it in the oven, set the temperature, timer, etc. that's why he's technically the cook! as soon as i got home from work we "fixed" some more "fixings" like mashed potatoes, but it was my sister who really went all-out and brought oyster stuffing and baked awesome herbed biscuits! the two of them pulled it off because i was kinda worn out. i had invited a friend from work also, and she was able to join us for a little bit (she had to go back to work). it was a very low-key, happy, thankful time and i appreciated getting to celebrate with loved ones. it's no secret how grateful i am for everything in my life and i genuinely feel that way every day of the year!

I LOVE oyster stuffing! Yummy! I also loved the story of the old man fight at McD's.
